Simon McEnery   The Singer

Simon McEnery is a tenor who trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (1989-1994), studying with Bernard Dickerson. He sings regularly as an extra chorus member of the Welsh National Opera, is on the extra chorus lists of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the BBC Singers, and has sung with Oper Frankfurt, Opéra de Nancy, Théatre du Châtelet Paris, De Vlaamse Opera Antwerp, Garsington Opera and Grange Park Opera. He also sings regular recitals, particularly of French and American song, with pianist Elizabeth Sweetnam.

Recently, through his increased experience of music theatre training, he has been exploring opportunities to sing in music theatre himself. Anyone requiring a versatile freelance tenor with excellent musicianship, or anyone looking for a recitalist, is more than welcome to get in touch!
